Ty is our 11 year old son that is very involved in trials and riding in general.
He began riding a Honda XR 50 at age 4. When he was 5 he got a Beta 50 minitrial and began riding the kids trials
here in Southern California. That same year was the inaugural West Coast Youth Trials Championship and he was able to
win the 7&under Championship.
In 2005 at age 6 we hauled Ty back to the Youth Trials National Championships
at the Trials Training Center in Tennessee. He put in three great days worth of riding and won the 6&under national
title. He was also lucky enough to make the cover of the Trials Competition magazine.
Since then he
has been working hard and progressing through the ranks. He has now won six national championships and five western
championships.
At age 8 Ty finished 3rd in the SoCal Novice series, At age 9 he finished
2nd in the Sportsman class and at age 10 he finished second in the Intermediate class for the season taking two wins,
one while he was still 9 years old and the other he had a perfect 0 score! This while competing against adults. For
the 2009-2010 season Ty won two events in the clubman class and despite breaking his wrist in the middle of
the season he won the series championship!
Besides trials Ty also enjoys
riding motocross on his Yamaha YZ 125. Along with his motorcycle activities he loves to go fishing as well as hunting
with his Grandpa. He has yet to decide if he wants to be a professional motorcycle rider or a fisherman.

3-18-10-Since breaking his wrist Ty has ridden two trials. The first trials he
still had his cast on and did well just to finish the tough mud trials down in Corral Canyon. The second was just a week after
getting his cast off out at Lucerne Valley. In this trials he finished 3rd out of 8 riders. After these two finishes Ty lost
his 17 point lead in the Clubman Class and now sits in 2nd in points with just the last event, El Trial De Espana left to
go on March 27th.
1-17-10-Ty started
out the new year by breaking his wrist on New Years day! He was out riding when he fell backwards down from a rock.
Now two weeks after breaking his wrist he is doing pretty good and about all he wants to do is ride his motorcycle.
12-8-09-The San Diego trials on Dec. 5th & 6th went very well for Ty. He finished 2nd on Sat. and 1st on Sun.!
With those finishes he increased his points lead in the Clubman class
11-29-09-It has been a very exiting and busy week for Ty. On Monday and Tuesday he was able to train with one
of the best trials riders in the world, Graham Jarvis. Ty learned a lot in those two days. On Wednesday Ty celebrated
his 11th birthday and of course Thursday was Thanksgiving. Ty also got more day of riding in this today (Sunday).
11-16-09-After
moving up to the Clubman class in SoCal Ty has already won in his second event. After three rounds he has the points
lead for the season. Next event is a two day trial down in San Diego the first weekend of Dec.
